Peter was a fairly standard controller, however I discovered that he was replying to my all of my radio calls using text, and another pilot's using voice. While I understand he may have a medical condition, it doesn't mean that he can give someone their clearance all the way through termination of radar services by voice, where all I got was words on a screen.
The pilot complained that I contacted him via radio-text and yet I contacted another pilot via voice. I apologise for that but, one pilot was a “regular pilot” and was used to my voice and the pilot complaining asked me to repeat due to his misunderstanding of my voice – he could not understand what I was saying due to my disability. So, I did what I normally do and communicated via radio-text. No pilot has ever complained about receiving radio-text and VATSIM allows radio-text communications. I again apologise and if he lets me know who he is I will communicate to the said pilot via voice. Thank you for your kind patience.
