2. How to “Anchor” you’re A/C. I anchor all of my deps and arrivals. The arrivals I anchor so that I have HDG/distance information to work with when descending/turning on the approach, and critically for the PTAC. I also use the “time” to reach the anchor point, as a method of sequencing my A/C in an orderly fashion. I anchor my deps to their first point on their dep route (for radar vectoring deps/SIDs). To set an Anchor, refer to VRC documentation. However, I use the following method = right click Data Tag, choose Set Anchor from drop down menu, type Anchor point into the box.
