KZSE - KZLC Letter of Agreement Version 2014

Cancellation: All previous agreements are cancelled.

Letter of Agreement: Seattle ARTCC (KZSE) and Salt lake ARTCC (KZLC)

1.PURPOSE:

This Letter of Agreement (LOA) outlines procedures to be used by Salt Lake City Center (ZLC) and Seattle Center (ZSE).

2.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for this LOA are the ZSE Facility Advisory Board and the ZLC Facility Advisory Board.

  1. DISTRIBUTION:

This LOA is intended for use by controllers staffing ZLC and ZSE positions.

  1. BACKGROUND:

This LOA, when in effect, shall supersede any and all previous LOA's between ZLC and ZSE. This LOA outlines procedures for handoffs and routings between the respective centers. This LOA establishes "arrival fixes" through which traffic will be routed, to establish consistent traffic flows between the ARTCCs.

  1. REQUIREMENTS:

5a. General Handoff Procedures:

Unless otherwise coordinated, the following Handoff procedures shall apply:

5a.1- General Handoff Procedures shall be in accordance with current VATSIM and VATUSA policies.

5a.2- When Sectorized, handoffs to ZSE are to:

  •  SEA_N_CTR on 120.300 (2 way split; North of BKE VOR)
  •  SEA_S_CTR on 126.100 (2 was split; South of BKE VOR)
  •  SEA_C_CTR on 128.450 (4 way split; North of BKE VOR)
  •  SEA_B_CTR on 134.650 (4 way split; South of BKE VOR, North of ILR VOR)
  •  SEA_D_CTR on 135.150 (4 way split; South of ILR VOR, North of SDO VOR)

 5a.3- When Sectorized, Handoffs to ZLC are to:

  •  SLC_N_CTR 133.600 (2 and 3 way split; all handoffs)

5b. Procedures and Responsibilities:

5b.1- The following table outlines arrival routing from ZLC to ZSE.

ZLC shall ensure all traffic bound for the listed destinations from the departure area is cleared via a route that includes the corresponding route segment:

5c. Arrival Procedures:

5c.1-  The following table outlines arrival routing from ZSE to ZLC.

ZSE shall ensure all traffic bound for the listed destinations from the departure area is cleared via a route that includes the corresponding route segment, and ensure the aircraft are at the altitude listed prior to crossing the common ZSE/ZLC boundary.
